Biographical / Historical:
Charles and Sophia were German immigrants who came to the United States in the 1870s and settled in Good Thunder. They had four children—Arthur, Carl, Elsa, and Rose—and owned a general store. They passed the business on to their sons who operated the business until Carl retired in 1965.
