Biographical / Historical:
The Kiffe family came to Mankato as pioneers in 1856 through George Kiffe Sr. and his wife Gertrude (Amtman) Kiffe. Ella (Siebert) Kiffe, daughter of Amelia Siebert, joined the Siebert and Kiffe families through her marriage with Otto Kiffe. Ella’s sister joined the Siebert and Rasmussen families through her marriage with Robert Rasmussen. Augusta Siebert first joined the Siebert and Duehring families through her marriage to George F. Duehring and later joined these families to the Rasmussen family through her marriage to Robert S. Rasmussen after George F. Duehring’s death.
