Biographical / Historical:
Medo township was part of the Winnebago Reservation from February 1855 until May 1863; settlers began moving onto the land the same day the Winnebago people were removed. The town of Medo was organized on September 8, 1863. Medo Township has been home to the communities of Cream, Little Cobb, Medo, and Pemberton. Today, Medo township is home to the town of Pemberton.
