We continue to bring you programs through Zoom this month!
Kathy Emmel has been passionate about quilting and genealogy for over 40 years. She will share with you a presentation featuring 14 quilts she has made that showcase family history, stories and heritage, as well as celebrations, historical events and groups of people. In addition, she will share an antique quilt whose secrets she unlocked through research. These quilts feature photos printed on fabric, embroidery, heirloom textiles, calligraphy and objects. Hopefully, they will inspire you to find an unusual and unexpected way to share your family stories with others.
Kathy has a background in graphic design and had a 30 career teaching elementary school children in California and Jefferson County, Colorado. Since retirement, she has delved more deeply into the study of genealogy and her family history. She has a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University and completed ProGen 42. She is always looking for new ways to share her genealogical finds with others!
Admission is $7/adults, Free for BECHS Members. If you are unable to attend this program live, it will be recorded and sent to registrants after the program and available to watch through Sunday at Midnight. This presentation is presented through Zoom. Registration opens on November 5 at 5 p.m.
